This tank of a pocket monster is another from the Primal Clash expansion. Its Megaton Slam is an attack that relies on a bit of luck to be fully effective in battle. With a potential for an additional 120 damage on top of a base 120 flat damage, Mega Aggron EX can one-shot almost any opponent; even other EX ca
Pokémon’s video SLG game cheats series was still in its infancy when the trading card game debuted. The card game is a suitable translation of the Pokémon experience, but the titles have become more complex as video games have evolved over time. The Pokémon TCG tries to represent these changes by adding new cards and mechanics every few sets. It’s done at a rate that’s not overwhelming and still allows the audience to gradually acclimate to the new concepts. Not all of these new mechanics are fundamental, but it’s still better than if the TCG never changed at
The Luxray Garchomp deck is a perfect example of mixing two strong and simple Pokémon cards to make a revolutionary deck. This deck centered around both Luxray G Lvl X and Garchomp C Lvl X , two of the strongest cards in their given format. Luxray was infamous at the time for its ability "Bright Look" which allowed the player to move an opponents benched card directly into the active spot. However, smart players would mix this already oppressive ability with Garchomp C Lvl X, which had an ability with healing properties and a move that could snipe the bench for 100 damage. In the format where it existed, Luxray Garchomp was always the deck to beat. If a deck had no shot at dealing with either Luxray, Garchomp, or both, it was pretty much deemed unviable. Simply put, Luxray Garchomp was the textbook definition of "meta defini
Appropriately called Pokémon Trading Card Game: Sword & Shield , the first expansion for the new series features over 50 of the new Galar Region Pokemon, and a new type of card called VMAX that showcase Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon . On February 7, 2020, Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield will release with new booster packs, Elite Trainer decks, and special collections, giving fans a chance to obtain a new Pokémon VMAX card like Snorlax VMAX or Lapras V
Interestingly, Gardevoir always seems to be very strong in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Perhaps her strongest appearance comes in the " Psychic Lock" deck. Psychic Lock was such a powerful deck archetype that it not only won the world championships once but twice. The deck ran a full line of Gardevoir which had the powerful ability " Telepass," which allows the player to choose a supporter card from their opponents discard and use the effect of it. This ability could be used every turn and was a ridiculously strong ability. On top of this, the deck was often run with Gardevoir Lvl X and a Claydol line to utilize its ability " Cosmic Power." Overall, the deck was intensely oppressive and strong once it got a full set up go

Having access to all three was especially fun since the decks basically make one person play as the "rival" in each instance. For younger fans of the game or those who've always wanted to learn, the _Pokemon Sword & Shield _ TCG theme decks make a game that has been around for decades much easier to learn than it has any right be
The oldest deck on this list is the now infamously-titled " Haymaker" deck. Haymaker was possibly the first truly meta defining deck to ever exist in the Pokémon Card SLG">http://L.V.Eli.Ne.S.Swxzu@Hu.Feng.Ku.Angn..UB..Xn--.Xn--.U.K37@Www.Mandolinman.it/guestbook/">SLG game updates . It reigned over the competition with its simple yet incredibly strong premise. The deck only ran Scyther, Electabuzz, and Hitmonchan. What these cards all had in common was decently high HP (for the time), small energy costs with high damage output, and, best of all, they were all basic Pokémon. Haymaker was feared because it applied pressure to the opponent almost right out of the gate, and it never let up until the sixth prize card was drawn. Undoubtedly a very simple deck, but one that many players dreaded fighting due to its ease of use and sp
Malamar may be a fairly underwhelming Pokemon in the games, but the Pokemon's EX card from the XY Phantom Forces set is not to be trifled with. Granted, its HP is a little on the low side when compared to other EX cards, but what it lacks in defenses, it more than makes up for in the offensive department. Players will just need a little bit of luck if they're to get the best out of
A successful trading card game obviously needs a strong foundation to pull from, but another way in which the Pokémon series benefits is that the sheer number of Pokémon continues to balloon. There are now nearly 1000 unique Pokémon out there and they’re all viable choices to be featured in the TCG. The Pokémon Trading Card Game isn’t stagnant, but even if it were, just the addition of new Pokémon of which people are fans of would be enough to bring new players into the card g
