Handmade ceramics processThese mugs are made from a toasted buff stoneware clay rolled out flat into slabs. Each mug shape is cut out by hand and formed into the body of the mug. I use handcrafted stamps to impress the design into the wet clay. The seam where I join the sides of the mug is left visible, as part of the design.
