BOTW is full of mechanics and hidden features and that makes it really hard to imagine what Tears of the Kingdom could add that would enhance the experience. Despite that, fans likely won't be satisfied with a sequel that's mostly focused on telling a new story with the same mechanics and format, meaning they could be setting themselves up for disappointment when _Tears of the Kingdom _ finally releases in Much like Hyrule Bass, Fortified Pumpkins in Breath of the Wild are mostly used for cooki...

For some fans, the lure of an exploration-based game like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is helped by having a lively hub world that's enjoyable to spend time in. Redditor jaspergants wants it to truly be a fantasy world fans would want to live in and thinks that would be helped by a return to "a bustling Hyrule" in the Breath of the Wild seq To no surprise, Link returns as the protagonist and main playable character of Tears of the Kingdom , and while his combat and exploration mecha...

During one of the more ominous shots in the trailer, the game's villain - presumably the threatening voice of Gannondorf - can be heard commanding his minions to raze Hyrule and destroy the kingdom. We see various enemies manifested through bursts of malice, but one in particular certainly stands Recent The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom _ leaks show that Hyrule may be overtaken by a great flood. The Korok Leaf is, like the Torch, an item based more around utility than being the weapon BOTW classifies it as. Able to create strong gusts of wind, the Korok Leaf is most often used to propel the many sailing rafts found around Hyrule. By the same token, it can also be used to force enemies backward. Now, with the most recent trailer revealing the existence of new vehicles, it seems more likely than ever that Tears of the Kingdom will improve ocean exploration and sailing. A new version of th...

The last ability shown in Tears of the Kingdom 's gameplay demonstration, which can also be seen in previous trailers, is Ascend, which allows Link to go through ceilings, essentially "swimming" through until he reaches the floor above. The ability seemingly doesn't let the player choose an angled trajectory, as the demonstration shows Link shooting directly upwards, and while thin ceilings and platforms will allow Link to phase through almost instantly, others will require more time. This can b...

Catching insects, lizards and other small critters in Breath of the Wild is a matter of careful movements and quick reflexes, as stealth is a key factor in not scaring the small animals away. Meanwhile, the Bug Net is a familiar Zelda tool that nevertheless failed to make it into BOTW . Infamously a Zelda item capable of reflecting magic , its intended use is naturally to help Link capture small creatures, typically insects, for a variety of purposes. If the Bug Net is included in Tears of the K...

Climbing, gliding, and even horse-riding made traversing the terrain of Breath of the Wild immensely satisfying and the fact it was rewarding for the player as well as the perfect bonus. Given there's one pretty massive traversal mechanic missing from that list though, it seems like an obvious way that Tears of the Kingdom could be an upgrade. As the Zelda series is known for its lively underwater settings, for better or for worse, it would be perfect for underwater exploring Breath of the Wild...

Once his preparations are complete, Link storms the inner sanctum of Hyrule Castle. As he does so, Zelda’s strength finally fails her, allowing Calamity Ganon to break free as a twisted combination of corrupted Sheikah technology and Breath of the Wild ’s sludge-like Malice , a substance that seems to be pure hatred in corrosive, physical form. The Divine Beasts fire their enormous energy weapons, severely weakening Ganon and helping Link defeat him. However, Ganon quickly reforms as the boar-li...

For Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to avoid disappointing fans, it likely won't be able to get away with recycling the same enemies from the previous game. BotW had plenty of fun and challenging enemies , but that's likely exactly why Redditor NoEggsOrBeansPlz is worried they'll get complacent and fail to " add more enemy variety " in the seq If it's to live up to the hype, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will have to be an absolutely massive game and that could come with some unexpected downsides. Red...
