Every time E3 rolls around, a certain excitement is felt throughout the entire gaming industry. Studios are excited to show what they've been working on and gaming enthusiasts are able to see what the future of video games looks like. While that excitement is certainly felt across the board for anyone who loves games, there's also a little disappointment after E3 ends each year for those hoping to see a specific game that turned out to be nowhere to be found. There's plenty to be seen next wee...

Though it certainly had its moments, some may find it hard not to feel just a little underwhelmed by everything that E3 2021 had to offer . Going into the expo, there were scores of big titles that could theoretically have made an appearance and yet the majority of them failed to even get a mention, let alone a trailer. It's possible that the gaming community's expectations were a tad higher than they should have been, but there remains a sense of disappointment lingering in E3's wake nonethel...

Dead By Daylight is a horror Adventure game characters where four survivors and one killer are loaded into a match and there is a goal for each of them: the survivors must escape, and the killer must prevent them doing so. Although it’s four vs one, it’s pretty evenly matched, but it can be tricky for beginners on either side. This spooky season, there are two multiplayer horror games for PC and console you might want to play with friends: Friday the 13th and Dead by Daylight . The games share a lot of similarities when it comes to their base concept — survivors are dropped into a match and one person is the killer. The aim of the survivors is to escape, and the aim of the killers is to finish the match with no one left alive. Sounds pretty simple and similar, but the games have some key differences and there are so...

One of the new skins in **Fortnite ** 's Season 3 Chapter 1 is Haven, who comes with a multitude of unlockable masks that somewhat vary in quality. Although unlocking the masks isn't too difficult as a whole, there are some that simply aren't worth the effort. How good each of them is may be a matter of taste, however - the worst of them all may be a favorite of some players, just as the best might be hated. Fortnite 's latest season introduced new masks for Haven, a skin available only to t...

Fortnite ** players already have access to several Batman ** villains heralded as Gotham's most dangerous, but there are several more deserving of a skin in the game. While some of Batman's most deadly foes, including the Joker and Poison Ivy are in Fortnite DLC already, Batman's massive rogue's gallery of villains includes several more characters deserving of a spot on the roster. Fortnite and DC Comics seem to have a healthy relationship, with well over a dozen skins based on characters from...

Dead By Daylight is a multiplayer horror game with a steady playerbase, still going strong years after its launch with tournaments, daily challenges, and special events. The concept of the game is simple. Four survivors and one killers are loaded into a match (either randomly or with friends!) and the goal of the survivors is to escape. The goal of the killer is to sacrifice them all to a creepy spider god (the Entity) that comes down from the sky and grabs the survivors from the hooks the kil...

Dead By Daylight is an interesting survival horror experience where four survivors are struggling to outwit and escape a powerful killer who’s doing the bidding of an ancient evil. Escaping requires finding useful items, avoiding detection, escaping the killer’s grasp, healing allies, repairing generators and other activities. Each survivor brings their own set of skills to the table, though any survivor can be trained to use any ability. In the early levels with default skills, there are so...

When developer Niantic finally launched their newest augmented reality (AR) Adventure game collectibles Harry Potter: Wizards Unite in North America last week, its opening numbers for both sales and unique installations were low. At least, in comparing them to the behemoth that was Pokémon GO . Unlike those initial frenzied months of Pokémon GO where it seemed everyone outside was running around trying to catch their favorite first-generation Pokémon, there hardly seems to be any players loo...

With the large amounts of video games releasing today, both from indie developers and AAA studios, not every game is destined to be a hit. Bad timing, underbaked mechanics, or unfulfilled promises can all result in a forgotten series. Reboots have become more common recently, bringing older titles to modern audiences with some tweaks and innovations to hold its own. This is usually done for more big-budget titles like Call of Duty , but underrated franchises that never got a large following wo...

Besides combat and travel, there are plenty of other motion-based opportunities throughout Albion. Activities like corralling chickens, lighting lanterns and moving obstacles may seem mundane, but serve to enrich the experience, making sure there’s always a fresh task to keep players interested. Most of these secondary actions have their own unique movements to avoid redundancies. Not content to let your arms have all the fun, there will be times where multiple paths can be selected from by bend...

While Molyneux’s inventive mindset gave rise to the "god game" genre (a genre loved by many a PC gamer), he’s also earned himself a number of negative connotations with how he promotes his games. It’s become a running joke that Molyneux tends to hype up any project he invests in to absurdly high levels, only to have the games miss their mark in one way or another. Fable became one of the most noteworthy examples of this "Molyneux Paradigm." During the game’s development, Fable was regarded by Mo...

Project Ego sounded like nothing I had played before. Being able to pick and choose which quests to take wasn't exactly groundbreaking, but the idea of the game taking place across the character's lifetime was intriguing. There was talk about how the character would be designed and uniquely tailored to the player's gameplay and they would be able to have children that would have a significant impact in the world. The character would receive unique scars from battle, they could plant a sapling an...

As we mentioned in our previous video, " Movies You Didn't Know Were Shaped By Video Games ", Crank is modelled after the insanity of games like Grand Theft Auto . In turn, Grand Theft Auto was heavily influenced by classic crime movies like Heat , Scarface and Goodfellas . So why not keep the cycle going by making a Grand Theft Auto movie, complete with all of the violence, satire and gleeful immorality that made the video game series such a hit. With a dream director like Michael Mann, Martin ...

Another big improvement is that of the interfaces. The previous ones were rough even in 2004, seeming basic enough to be more at home with PS1-era games. Thankfully, they've been completely overhauled for this release, matching up better with the subsequent Fable games. Navigation-wise, they’re a bit too clumsy. The triggers, shoulders buttons and analog sticks all come into play when scrolling around, resulting in a learning curve that shouldn’t exist for menus. Still, there’s only so much that...
