There is more passion, more vitality, in someone like Joy Trew, 98, a great-grandmother from Bristol who served as a corporal in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, than in your average 18-year-old, sitting in their bedroom watching TikToks or feeling triggered because someone's misgendered their cat. Prince Harry is a classic case in point. He's older, of course, but his man-child mentality puts him firmly in this bracket.
His contribution to the VE Day celebrations consisted of sitting down with a reporter working for the BBC, slagging off the Monarchy and the Government and whingeing about his own safety concerns. Forget that an entire generation ran towards Nazi Germany to protect HIS great-grandfather's Crown and HIS country; the real injustice here is that poor Harry doesn't get motorcycle outriders any more. There are five members of the NSW Right in federal cabinet: Tony Burke (home affairs), Chris Bowen (climate change and energy), Jason Clare (education), Ed Husic (industry and science), and Michelle Rowland (communications).
Education minister Stephen Morgan said: ‘It is high time exam records were brought into the 21st century, and this pilot will allow schools and colleges to focus on what they do best: teaching the next generation rather than being bogged down in bureaucracy.' However, pupils will still receive a hard copy, and schools will continue to open as normal on results day to welcome pupils and give advice (pictured: a DfE prototype for the new 'Education Record' app) He added: ‘We believe this will reduce administrative burdens on schools, and in the future could also be utilised by parents of younger children to support transition from primary to secondary school.' Ministers hope the app could be rolled out as early as 2026, meaning teenagers will no longer have to collect their results in person (pictured: Brighton College pupils picking up their GCSE results last year) And they say it could sit in the new ‘gov.uk wallet' currently being designed by the Department for Science, reading comprehension 1st grade worksheets Innovation and Technology, which can be used for official digital documents such as drivers' licenses.
James Bowen, assistant general secretary at school leaders' union NAHT, said: ‘It makes a lot of sense to look into modernising how exam results are handled and any moves to cut bureaucracy and costs are welcome. Pepe Di'Iasio, General Secretary of the Association of School and College Leaders, said: 'The Education Record app represents a positive step forward in making greater use of digital technology in education and will bring benefits to students, schools and colleges.  They have little or no sense of national identity, ‘nation' being a dirty word.
They are far more interested in identity politics, such as trans issues and questions of race and so-called white privilege. The only thing they really seem to care about is how they come across on social media - a kind of ‘does my virtue look big in this?<img src="https://burst.shopifycdn.com/photos/math-cards-colored-pencils.jpg?width=746&format=pjpg&exif=0&iptc=0"; style="max-width:450px;float:right;padding:10px 0px 10px 10px;border:0px;" alt="" />
