Closed beta footage has shown many reasons to get excited about Riot's next major title. It seems fans of Counter-Strike , Overwatch , or even 2008's Shadowrun have a new title to sink their teeth into. At the same time, the closed beta has shown a few flaws ranging from key drops to game issues. Here are 5 reasons we are excited for Valorant and 5 why we're worr

Sage's Barrier Orb ice wall may just be the most useful ability in the game. Whether attacking or defending, Sage can lock down an entire avenue with a massive wall. Additionally, when enemies use the teleporter on Bind, she can trap them in. Her Slow Orb is simply a great way to delay enemy pushes, 100 Thieves CS:GO rendering a large area almost completely untraversa

Brimstone begins the top-5 lineup on my list, bringing the best smokes in VALORANT for both offensive and defensive team plays. His incendiary grenade can zone out hot points; His Stim Beacon can grant rapid fire. Brimstone's ultimate ability, Orbital Strike, has the capability to outright kill players caught within its range. Although not the largest area-of-effect, the strike hits quick and h

Both agents have vastly different abilities that help them locate players, but Sova is a must-have on any team. Valorant will likely receive a similar amount of care with new maps, Agents, and possibly new weapons. As long as the development team stays on top of community requests and balance issues, Valorant might become the next major FPS title on the market for years to c

Finally, Cypher's ultimate, Neural Theft is a rather complicated but interesting move. When Cypher approaches an enemy team's corpse, he can utilize Neural Theft on the corpse. When the ultimate is activated it grants Cypher the ability to locate all of the Enemy team's silhouettes for a short second. This ultimate provides similar utility as the Marking Dart but on a larger scale, granting a Cypher ability the ability to scout and call out the enemy team. However, this move can be difficult to pull off, as it requires Cypher or his teammates have defeated an enemy player, but when the condition is met, this is one of the strongest ultimate in the g

Cypher is the number one defensive character. His Trapwire and Spycam abilities are perfect ways for your team to allocate more resources towards other defensive points. Trapwires work completely passively. However, choosing a "main" character is one of the hardest aspects of the game. With such a diverse and interesting roster, each member of the Valorant cast is as interesting last the last. One of the more unique designs found in the title is the technology-savvy Cypher, who provides an under-utilized niche to the competitive scene of Hero Shooters. The game is a 5v5 Search and Destroy game much like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but players also have to select different Agents which have unique abilities much like Overwatch. _Valorant currently has nine playable agents each having their own skill set that can help a team claim victory over their opponents. While there are plenty of agents that can deal damage (Raze, Brimstone, Breach) the newest addition to the game has proven to be the best damage dealer, and that new agent is R

Boom Bot is a cute little robot that resembles a Roomba that travels in a straight line and bounces off walls it hits.
