Another official announcement has now revealed one of the most important aspects of the game: the characters that players will take control of. Each one of these characters has their own name, distinct look, and powers available to them, making each one play differently and allowing them to come together into a cohesive team. It is not a far cry from Riot's original League of Legends or from more recent shooters like Overwatch and the earlier Battlebo

Emerging as an international success, seemingly out of nowhere, Valorant _ combines the competitive genres of hero-shooters and _Counter-Strike style realistic arena shooters. Valorant's success has appeared to emerge from out of nowhere, possessing gargantuan numbers on Twitch and increasing its player base every day. The only way that players can even get a copy of Valorant, is through a Twitch Keys, which can only be accessed by watching a streamer play the game live. This combined with its hyper-intense gameplay, application of both hero and realistic shooter qualities, and being one of the most addicting game-types to emerge in the modern market, it is no surprise that Valorant is shaping to be a mammoth succ

Although fans did get to see some of their favorite players showcase their skills, it were the lesser-known teams that made names for themselves. Gen.G will likely be one of the favorites in every tournament they play now. Both share a smoke ability, but Jett ultimately has more mobility options that make her the most agile agent in Valora

Sova is an archer who has a purchasable drone that he can fly around the map to locate enemies. This makes peeking around corners far less dangerous, and the drone has the ability to mark enemies and reveal their location to teammates. Sova also has a recon bolt that recharges over time and bastion new perk can be used to locate enemies. Although it's possible an established pro from another game will come and prove themselves the best, it's more likely that some fresh young talent will emerge and find his calling in VALOR

Valorant bears more similarities to CS:GO than it does to Overwatch , and the mechanics of the games are very different. Players will have to buy some of their characters' unique powers in-between rounds just like they will have to buy the weapons they can steal off their enemies. It is similar enough to CS:GO that one of that game's commentators and former pros adored it , and seems to be an innovation to a breed of shooter that has not advanced anywhere for a very long time in the same way Overwatch updated many aspects of Team Fortress 2 's gamep

Support plays a huge role in any team-based shooter. Being able to heal, or even revive, teammates can give a team a huge upper-hand. Luckily for Valorant players, there is only one support style agent to choose at the moment: S

Firstly, Jett has a passive ability that allows her to glide when jumping from a high point, and it negates fall damage. She also has an updraft ability that allows her to jump very high in the air to get the "jump" on her enemies. Jett can also use a quick dash that recharges after getting two kills. And if that were not enough, her ultimate is endless. She summons five kunai blades that she can throw at enemies. There is no timer on her ultimate so she can summon it at the beginning of a match and use it all the way through. AND her ultimate resets if she gets a kill with her blades. Meaning as long as one of her blades kills someone she will get all five b

Finally, Brimstone's Ultimate, Orbital Strike, fits a similar niche to his Incendiary Grenade, except with ten-times the effectiveness. Orbital Strike shines the brightest, when placed onto the location of the Spike, dispatching of any enemy looking to disarm the Spike or to simply stop them from even being near its location. This ability can be used to dispatch of a well set up team, through its insanely high damage potential. If done in the right location it can also separate even a well-coordinated team, allowing for players to pick apart the enemy's defenses and strategy. If used correctly Orbital Strike can simply end around and even a match. Its ability to shut down a particular area is unmatched in the game, making it a threat for even the most coordinated teams in the g

Two teams of five players face off on one of several maps, with the first team to win thirteen rounds taking the overall match victory. Similar to other FPS games, each team alternates between taking the role of Attacker or Defender. To win a round, all the Attackers need to do is plant the Spike (like a bomb in other titles) on one of several predetermined locations, or simply eliminate the opposing team. Likewise, the Defenders are only tasked with stopping the Spike plant by defusing it within the round time limit or by eliminating the opposit
