The Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend, and Recall abilities were each explored and were clearly the central focus of the demo. Out of these abilities, Ultrahand and Fuse took the lead in allowing players to use their imaginations in creating anything they could think of, whether it worked as planned or
Another interesting possibility is Paya, who could herself be seen as Impa’s successor. Although the timid Sheikah was only a supporting character in the story of Breath of the Wild , the sequel offers an excellent opportunity to develop Paya as a character. With the remnants of the Yiga Clan potentially still a threat even after the death of Master Kohga in BOTW , Paya could become a central character in a storyline focussed around the deep schism between her people and their disaffected cousins. The Sheikah are simultaneously one of the most notable and mysterious of Hyrule’s various races, and such a quest could provide an interesting insight into their cult
Although the majority of the trailers for Tears of the Kingdom have been secretive and vague, the final pre-release preview of the game has provided some much-needed hype, while also hinting at the return of something that BOTW was missing - classic, Zelda -style dungeons. Although BOTW 's various shrines and Divine Beasts served a similar purpose, the shrines' general shortness and consistent aesthetic meant they couldn't fill the same niche, and the Divine Beasts' shared gimmick and lackluster bosses failed to match up to the Zelda dungeons of old as well. Luckily, TOTK seems to be taking a different approach to dungeons than its predeces
Adding one or more additional player characters to Tears of the Kingdom would diversify the gameplay and provide fun breaks from playing as Link. Of course, with trailers showing Link and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom beginner guide being separated in TOTK , it is easy to conceive that Zelda herself may be playable in some sections of the game. However, although this would certainly be a welcome feature, TOTK could also expand on this further. After all, if Zelda might become playable, then there is also a possibility that other characters could as well. This would add further depth to what already appears to be an impressive ti
There's a rumbling in the distance. Booming footsteps rattle the ground beneath us. Mountain Dew shakes in our Nintendo branded cups. There's a colossus on the horizon, a young man with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a green tunic. Shield in one hand, sword in the other, he's coming to slay all of our free time for the next month, and it seems the other monsters have taken note. Everyone is running scared of Zelda . No one wants to go toe to toe with Tears of the Kingd
Despite Tears of the Kingdom being a direct sequel , the game seems to be mostly abandoning the structure of BOTW , opting instead for what looks like more traditional Zelda -style dungeons with discreet themes. While it's impossible to know for sure how the game's structure will shake out before its release, the final trailer seems to at least indicate that TOTK 's dungeons will each have some association with certain elements, as Link can be spotted working his way through specific challenges in varied environments. In particular, the trailer shows a mine cart race over a sea of lava, a battle in a water-themed environment, and a boss fight in the stormy
Another key detail of note is the appearance of several of Tears of the Kingdom ’s eponymous Tears throughout the trailer, one of which appears in the possession of both Zelda and this new character. The yellow Tear is seen worn around both Hylians’ necks, and being held loosely in Zelda’s hands as her voice says there is " something only I can do. " It appears that the Tears possess significant magical powers; a red Tear appears to be involved in Ganondorf’s revival, while the yellow Tear glows before the mysterious Hylian apparently unleashes a blast of golden energy - a spectacle very similar to Zelda Tears of the Kingdom beginner guide’s inherited divine pow
The Zelda series has always included puzzles for players to solve, such as the shrine puzzles in BOTW . Tech Crunch explained that in the demo for Tears of the Kingdom , the puzzles were not as formally set up as in BOTW but seemed designed to be more organically stumbled upon within the world of Hyrule. As is common in any Zelda game, the puzzles still rely heavily on Link's new abilities and give players a chance to stretch their thinking to come up with how to solve them, but often there are many solutions that could w
There are many ways that multiple playable characters could be implemented in Tears of the Kingdom . For example, they could appear in sequences that run parallel to the main story, or perhaps before it, in the case of the Zonai. Such interludes could be as short or as long as required, and would provide a new perspective on the events of TOTK . In many cases, this would likely be something that would be impossible to convey from following Link’s point of view alone. As a result, it would be possible to develop TOTK ’s plot into a much more complex story than Breath of the Wild ?
