There are several potential candidates for playable characters in Tears of the Kingdom , with perhaps the most obvious being the successors of the four fallen Champions: Sidon, Yunobo, Riju, and Teba. All four characters have previously been playable in Age of Calamity , which presented mechanics that could now be replicated in Tears of the Kingdom . Link's Recall ability in TOTK will allow him to reverse the movement of an object, such as letting Link ride boulders back up to the sky islands after they had tumbled off. As reported by Engadget , Recall is similar to the Stasis ability in BOTW but reversing it. It seems that Tears of the Kingdom could truly benefit from the addition of extra playable characters, no matter how they are implemented. There is incredible potential to be found in terms of both gameplay and story, and taking advantage of this could bring TOTK to even greater heights. What’s more, Age of Calamity has shown that unique playstyles have already been developed for a wealth of characters who could reappear in the next entry in the Legend of Zelda series.
