He enters with a Pile O' Balloons which he can inflate at a cost of five Sanity, and there are five types of Balloon craftable in his Balloonomancy Tab. <br>
<br>The Speedy Balloon grants the one wielding it a 30 percent Speed boost until it deflates . As the magical helium breath leaves this Balloon the hole in the middle shrinks, and the Speed boost drops to 20 percent and then 10 percent. After a quarter of a day cycle, Wes's boost is lost, but he can always blow up more to give to fellow teammates, which is a great early game multiplayer strategy . <br>
<br>4 Magiluminescence Amulet <br>

<br>The Magiluminescence Amulet may be the perfect item to take spelunking and into the Ruins as not only does it emit light and a 20 percent speed boost, but it also provides two Sanity gain per minute, and leaves your hand and head slots free. <br>
<br>The catch is, to make one in the first place you need to be standing next to a Pseudoscience Machine, and they cannot be prototyped. Once you've got ahold of a Magiluminescence amulet you shouldn't need to make another, so long as it's refuelled with Nightmare Fuel . If it drops to zero durability it will disappear, so keep an eye on it. <br>
<br>If left in the chest slot it will last one full day, and cost 2.7 Nightmare Fuel to fully charge it. When stacked with the Walking Cane (or Lazy Explorer) and a Tam O' Shanter the player can run around at a 50 percent speed boost and negate the Sanity drain of most Nightmare cycles in the Ruins. Being a relic from an ancient civilization it is a little costly to craft, putting you back two Thulecite, three Nightmare Fuel, and a Yellow Gem. If the Construction Amulet is equipped this will cut the number of Thulecite necessary, but not the Gem. <br>
<br>3 Thulecite Club <br>

<br>The Thulecite Club is another great combination item, this time bringing together speed and pain. The Thulecite Club is a great weapon on its own, dishing out nearly 60 damage and summoning baby Shadow Tentacles to add another 34 damage to anything dumb enough to stick around. If the mobs you find yourself beating up do have the sense to run, this weapon will help you keep up with its 10 percent extra movement speed. <br>
<br>As it's magical and made of Thulecite it means a trip to the Ruins whenever you need to make one. Stand next to a fully working Pseudoscience Machine with three Living Logs, four Thulecite, and four Nightmare Fuel to make your own. Alternatively, it's possible to find a slightly used Club in a Large Ornate Chest, dropped by the Ancient Guardian . <br>
<br>2 MacTusk's Tusk <br>

<br>Every year, the MacTusk Hunting Party strolls out into the Constant (who knows where from) and spends Winter tracking down poor, defenceless players. Their igloos appear in the same campsites every time, and the MacTusk 'N' Son duo bring with them two Blue Hounds. There are a whole heap of strategies to defeat this gang, but a tried and true method involves planting Anenemies around the igloo and revisiting it for loot every three days. <br>
<br>Around 50 percent of the time MacTusk will drop his namesake Tusk, and there's also a 25 percent chance he'll drop the Tam O' Shanter too. With two Gold and four Twigs you've got yourself a 25 percent movement bonus with unlimited durability, and half the damage of a Spear. The Walking Cane is an essential bit of kit that every player should keep on them. They're cheap and renewable, and there are loads of skins to decorate them with. Pop yourself on Cobblestone with a Magiluminescence around your neck and a regular character can reach a 95 percent speed boost. If you're playing as WX-78 and get overloaded by lightning, or Wolfgang when he's mighty, expect breakneck speeds that may be difficult to steer at. <br>

Crafted, again, with a Psuedoscience Machine, two Nightmare Fuel, two Orange Gems, and your previously made Walking Cane. The Construction Amulet should be worn to reduce the necessary Gems and Nightmare Fuel, as the best place to find Orange Gems is inside a dead Dragonfly. Of course, there's also the 0.02 percent chance of picking one out of a Tumbleweed if you want to spend your time chasing after those. <br>
<br>While holding the orange staff and right-clicking the player can teleport up to a total of 20 times anywhere the cursor is available. This is very helpful for getting across bodies of water in a pinch, or even chasms underground. The player will lose 15 Sanity every time they teleport and any companions (such as the wonderful Otto von Chesterfield, Chester for short) will appear off-screen ready to catch up. <br>
