There is such a massive variety of different options and abilities for switching up combat in Black Myth: Wukong that it's easy to forget that one of the simplest ways to get stronger is to upgrade your choice of weapon.

While in the early chapters of Black Myth: Wukong, you might assume that getting new weapons is a pretty linear process, but the more involved you get in the side content and hidden missions, the more options and variety you'll get for your weapons. So, with so many different options for weapons, which are the ones you'll want to keep equipped for the tough bosses Wukong throws at you?

8 Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff

One of the earlier weapons you can get in Black Myth: Wukong is the <img src="https://static0.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/sharedimages/2024/08/black-myth-wukong-cloud-patterned-stone-staff.png?fit=contain&h=22&w=22"; alt="" /> Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff in Chapter 2, and while it will not be the best option in the late-game, it'll be able to carry you through a lot of the mid-game. It also encourages you to try out more charged attacks, which is a perfect technique to start honing around this point in the game.

On top of this, you'll have a higher chance of dealing more damage with the useful five percent to critical chance.

4 Spider Celestial Staff

Similarly to some other weapons like the Chitin Staff, the <img src="https://static0.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/sharedimages/2024/08/black-myth-wukong-spider-celestial-staff.png?fit=contain&h=22&w=22"; alt="" /> Spider Celestial Staff will encourage you to regularly use your charged heavy attacks to get some bonus healing from the staff's passive ability.

However, it also encourages using this staff with a specific build that will keep The Destined One poisoned. If you are poisoned when doing a charged heavy attack, your attacks will also deal poison too. And there's a strong chance these will be powerful hits thanks to the bonus +12% critical chance.

3 Visionary Centipede Staff

More often than not, you'll get new weapons by upgrading a weaker one, compared to making a new one from scratch. More confusingly, there are some weapons that branch into different paths with similar but still different stats and buffs.

2 Golden Loong Staff
