Sanhua is one of the free 4-Star characters players will obtain by logging into Wuthering Waves five days in a row. A Glacio sword-wielder, Sanhua can function both as a main DPS and as a sub-DPS in a quick swap team. As a dedicated DPS character, her kit relies heavily on picture-perfect timing to execute her Forte Circuit skill correctly. With decent Energy Recharge (ER) and some Crit DMG/Crit Rate Echoes, she can function as an excellent AoE clearer.

As a support, her best trait is her Outro skill. With it, she gives any incoming unit a +38% Basic Attack Damage Deepen buff that lasts for a long time. This means that characters who rely on basic attack damage instead of skill damage or Liberation damage are her best pairings. Sanhua is an excellent choice for a sub-DPS for players building a second team to either clear the Tower of Adversity or to change things up. Here are some of the best characters to put on a team with her.

Encore's entire kit in Wuthering Waves revolves around dealing basic attack damage in her buffed state. She only uses her Heavy Attack when about to swap out. Sanhua's ability to increase the basic attack damage of any incoming unit by 38% is a massive increase in effective DPS for Encore, making her an ideal companion. Equipped with the Moonlit Clouds 5pcs set, Sanhua can not only provide the team with extra ER but also buffs Encore's damage by a further 22%. Sanhua can also pick up the slack for Encore when she is out of juice and needs to recharge her energy.

Verina's primary function is as a healer for when either Sanhua or Encore take damage, but she buffs Encore's (and Sanhua's) damage with her Liberation as well, applying the Photosynthesis mark to nearby enemies, which allows her to attack in tandem with the on-field unit even when she's not there.

Encore : DPS

Sanhua : Sub-DPS, Buffer

Verina : Buffer, Healer

Like Encore, Lingyang also heavily relies on using his basic attacks to deal damage, making him a perfect unit to be paired with Sanhua. Both in his buffed Striding Lion State and in his normal state, Lingyang's damage comes from his lightning-fast basic punches. And since his attack speed is so fast, he takes full advantage of the +38% basic attack DMG buff Sanhua provides.

Additionally, as a single-target-focused DPS, Lingyang has few ways to deal with hordes of enemies. Sanhua covers that weakness by using her AoE damage skill and Forte Circuit to deal with multiple mobs. Baizhi is here as a healer and buffer, but if players are confident in their dodging and parrying skills, they can replace Baizhi with Yangyang to provide even more crowd control, allowing Sanhua's AoE attacks to hit enemies sucked into Yangyang's Liberation effect.

Lingyang : DPS

Sanhua : Sub-DPS, Buffer

Baizhi : Buffer, Healer

Sanhua can also be built as a main DPS in <a href="https://wutheringwaveszone.com/">Wuthering Waves Official</a> Waves by pairing her with Mortefi and Jianxin. Mortefi's Outro skill buffs Heavy Attack damage by +38%, which both Jianxin and Sanhua use quite often. Meanwhile, Sanhua's Outro skill buffs basic attacks by +38%, which Mortefi likes to use. The best rotation for this team would be for Sanhua to use her skill to summon the ice prism, break it with her Forte Circuit to build up her Concerto, and then switch to Mortefi. Mortefi would press all his buttons and echo abilities before switching to Jianxin, who would switch back to Mortefi, who would switch back to Sanhua, triggering the +38% heavy attack damage buff with his Outro skill.

This is a very quick swap-heavy team, with all characters taking nearly an equal amount of time on the field, quickly switching back and forth. The main thing to pay attention to, in addition to each character's kit, is to always fill up the Concerto meter before switching Mortefi into Sanhua or Jianxin and Sanhua into Mortefi in order to maximize damage.

Jianxin's Outro skill doesn't really matter all that much, and players can even replace her with another unit if they choose. However, Jianxin is an excellent backup option for boss fights as her skill allows her to perfectly parry any attack without any skill required. Her shields also give Sanhua and Mortefi the necessary bandwidth to not have to worry about taking attacks during their combos.
