The Consecrated Mind is the first boss in **Destiny 2 ** that needs to be defeated in the Garden of Salvation raid. It is the giant Vex Harpy that attempted to stop the Guardians in the first encounter. This encounter will see the Harpy call upon the Voltaic Overflow, the effect that was created by the Consecrated Mind that had the potential to wipe the team or defeat Guardians instantly. Like the first encounter, this boss fight will require the teams to be split up into two teams of three.

The Consecrated Mind encounter in Destiny 2 is overwhelming at first, but there are designated roles that can be applied to make the process a bit easier to follow. There are many weapons, including Season of the Lost weapons , to choose from for this encounter. The build-up to the damage phase is precise and requires a lot of enemies to be defeated first, <a href="https://www.Destiny2Hub.com/">https://www.Destiny2Hub.com</a>; so be sure to bring weapons that can easily accomplish this. Everyone on the team should have a Sniper Rifle or powerful distance rifle, an SMG or Auto Rifle , and a Fusion Rifle , Linear Fusion Rifle , or Rocket Launcher .

Before starting the encounter, divide the team up into two teams of three. One team will become the Conflux Team, and the other is the Boss Team. There are very few roles that have to be switched up during this encounter, but for the majority of the time, these teams will be on their own. To begin the Destiny 2 encounter, stand at the center conflux where the last encounter ended. All Fireteam members will link up at this point and be tethered together through a beam, linking to a square off in the distance. Everyone will gain the Enlightened buff for a short time, and the Consecrated Mind will spawn. For now, it is immune to damage.

How to Beat the Consecrated Mind (Destiny 2 Boss Guide)

No Destiny 2: Season of the Lost Champions are present in this boss fight. The Consecrated Mind will eventually head off into one of four directions, which should also be established beforehand. They could be Front, Back, Left, Right, or North, East, South West, etc. The diagonal directions will have a Conflux spawn, indicated by a large beam emitting light into the sky. This is officially where the two teams must split off.

Two members of the Conflux Team will head towards the Conflux, while the third looks for a Vex Minotaur that will drop motes once defeated. Grab the motes, and return to the Conflux. Deposit them to temporarily earn the Enlightened buff. This will allow that teammate to defeat the enemies with immune shields. There are only a few of them, they cannot be allowed to reach the Conflux. These Vex Goblins will sacrifice at the Conflux, causing a wipe. As the Enlightened teammate deals with the immune enemies, another is looking for the next Minotaur to grab motes from. Additionally, all teammates should destroy the Succulents as soon as possible, since they explode when close to a Guardian. The Salvager's Salvo Grenade Launcher is perfect for this. Depositing 30 motes total will begin the damage phase.

Boss Team

While the Conflux Team hunts for motes, the Boss Team will be following the Consecrated Mind. It will head down one of those four paths, Front, Back, Left, or Right. Once it reaches the end, the Consecrated Mind will create the Voltaic Overflow effect. In anticipation of this, each team member from the Boss Team needs to have a designated starting and rotational position, and here's why. When the Consecrated Mind creates the Voltaic Overflow effect it will always spawn it in the center. That first center-teammate grabs the effect, and when the Consecrated Mind flashes lights the affected teammate will be able to see either the outer circles or inner circles light up red. The other two Destiny 2 Guardians see both sets of lights, so it's up to the Voltaic Overflow teammate to communicate "inner" or "outer" for the correct lights to shoot. Shooting the incorrect ones, even once, will kill the Voltaic Overflow teammate.

After shooting the correct circles, the Boss Team can return to the center area and await for Destiny 2 's Consecrated Mind to relocate to another hallway. They'll repeat the same process, only this time a new member has to pick up the Voltaic Overflow. As aforementioned, picking up the effect twice before it runs out will kill the teammate. Additionally, if no one picks up the effect the whole Fireteam will wipe. There will be one point where all three members of the Boss Team have the effect, and one person needs to switch with a member of the Conflux Team - preferably the person who went third since they have the longest remaining effect time.

The new member of the Boss Team will pick up the next round of Voltaic Overflow, and by that time the original two teammates will have had their effects worn off. Continue this until the Conflux Team deposits the 30 motes, as if they're playing Gambit , and then the Consecrated Mind will be drawn to the Conflux. At the Conflux, the Consecrated Mind will spread its appendages and have multiple red lights showing. Have the Fireteam regroup as a whole, and destroy all of the eyes to officially begin the damage phase. Don't be too close to it, otherwise, it will wipe the team.

Damage Phase

Once in the damage phase, the Consecrated Mind will be extremely vulnerable in its eye. It will also back up to the original starting point. Follow it and continue to do damage, as a barrier will soon spawn at the beginning of the hallway, preventing any damage from being done. The whole team can make it beyond the barrier before it spawns but should wait until the Consecrated Mind makes it beyond the next staircase. If the barrier spawns try jumping between the barrier on the left or right sides attaching to the wall to get by it. Destiny 2 's Xenophage Exotic Machine Gun is a great weapon for this boss fight because it fires rapidly and puts out high damage.
