In Palworld walkthrough , there is a lot of base management. As you capture new pals, you can check out what skills they have and decide if they will go to your party or stay back at your base. Your party essentially goes out exploring with you, while the pals at your base continue the machine-like operations that you need to have to gain more resources and run things smoothly.
<img src="https://cdn.hobbyconsolas.com/sites/navi.axelspringer.es/public/media/image/2022/02/palworld-cartel-2611129.jpg?tf=3840x"; style="max-width:420px;float:left;padding:10px 10px 10px 0px;border:0px;" alt="Los creadores de Palworld explican las diferencias entre la versi\u00f3n de Steam y la de Xbox\/Windows" />
With that said, your base can also be attacked, so you will want strong but useful pals to spend time back at home. You are limited on the number of pals that you can leave at your base, so it's worth making sure you aren't wasting any space! You will gain more space for pals by upgrading your base.

8 Lamball

Not Skilled, But Produces Wool

<img src="https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/player-standing-next-to-a-ranch-and-there-is-a-lamball-inside-with-a-bunch-of-wool-palworld-1.jpg"; alt="" />

Lamball isn't the most skilled worker that you can assign to your base. They have a skill in handiwork, transport and farming. However, Lamball are able to be assigned to the Ranch, once you have built it, where they will produce a bunch of wool for you to craft with.

Finding wool is only done through killing pals with wool, so having a pal at your base that can produce it while helping around the base is a good idea. They also aren't too bad when it comes to raids, as they are always ready to fight back.

7 Lifmunk

Great At Tasks, But A Slacker

<img src="https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/palworld_lifmunk_paldeck.jpg"; alt="" />

Lifmunk is another great generalist to have working in your base. They have a skill in planting, gathering, handiwork, lumbering, and medicine production. Medicine production is very useful in the late game, when you have the means to create medicine for your pals. This big grouping of skills covers nearly half of all the possible skills a pal can have.

Lifmunk won't be focused on any specific task within your base, and will dot around to whatever one they feel like, but there is always something for them to do. With that said, Lifmunks are often slackers, and you will receive warnings of them not working very hard or just simply slacking off. Maybe that is because of all the different tasks they could be doing, or maybe they just don't have worth ethic. Either way, if you don't mind a bit of slacking off, they are very useful.

6 Foxparks

Always More Food To Cook

<img src="https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/palworld-foxparks.jpg"; alt="" />

Foxparks is one of the few one-skill pals that you should consider at your base. It's able to do one task; kindling, which is actually how you cook all of your food, and once you get exploring, there is always a lot of food.

You will find yourself gathering berries and picking up meat, along with eggs, which all fill more hunger when cooked. At your base, you can set a fire to cook berries that are harvested from your farming plots, and your Foxparks will be focused on cooking all of these, while other pals can bring the cooked food to the food bin for pals or to the cooler box. Without a pal dedicated to kindling, you will likely find yourself with rotted food and sometimes hungry pals.

5 Pengullet

A Handful Of Skills Including Cooling

<img src="https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/pengullet-in-the-wild-in-palworld.jpg"; alt="" />

Pengullet is another good pal that has a handful of skills but one, more rare standout skill that makes them great to have at your base. They have a skill point in watering, handwork, transport and cooling. The cooling aspect is needed in your base so that you can keep your Cooler Box going, which will in turn ensure that your food doesn't rot.

Keeping your Cooler Box cold isn't a full-time job, though, so having other skills that keep them busy is very helpful when it comes to ensuring that they aren't just left with nothing to do beyond making sure the box is in working order.

4 Dumud

Odd Combo Of Skills

<img src="https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/dumud-mining-at-a-base-in-palworld.jpg"; alt="" />

Dumud is a bit different in terms of its combination of skills. They have two points in mining, as well as one point in watering. This means that they are very efficient at mining, especially if you have a stone pit that has infinite rocks to smash.

The watering that Dumud can do is multipurpose, especially once you've unlocked a bunch of technology for your base . This pal can both water your plants, but also run machines like The Crusher and The Mill, so that you are producing the items you want to create. Though it is a bit of an odd combinaton of skills, it's very useful!

3 Dinossom

Specializing In Two Skills

<img src="https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/dinossom-working-in-a-lumbering-yard-at-a-base.jpg"; alt="" />

Dinossom is more of a specialist pal to have in your base. They have two points in both planting and lumbering, meaning they cannot do too many tasks, but the tasks they do complete are done quickly and efficiently.

Dinossom also does two tasks that need to be done often, as planting is what keeps everyone fed and lumber is a material you need lots of to craft a bunch of different items that can run out. They are hard workers at the base too, possibly because their tasks are so easy for them.

2 Daedream

Works All Night And Never Rests

<img src="https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/daedream-working-on-the-base-in-palworld.jpg"; alt="" />

Daedream has a skill point in gathering, handiwork and transport, so this covers a good variety of jobs that will be located around the map. You can often find them finishing the end of tasks and working on organising your base for you.

Daedream is a nocturnal pal, who can be found out and about at night. With that said, they still do work all day at your base, but also don't rest until deep into the night, only sleeping for a small portion of the nighttime itself. This means that they can spend more time doing tasks around the base, even after the other pals have called it a day. If you have a lot to do, it's well worth taking advantage of the extra time!

1 Tanzee

So Many Skills

<img src="https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/a-tanzee-with-a-shotgun-in-palworld.jpg"; alt="" />

Tanzee is one of the best, especially when you are a bit low on spots for pals. This pal has a skill point in planting, handiwork, lumbering, transport and gathering. This means that they can spend time replanting seeds, building materials, chopping down trees, gathering any materials that are finished, and moving items to chests.

The only real downside to Tanzee is that they switch between tasks often, and there isn't a way to prioritise a task apart from picking them up and Palworld base building throwing them aggressively at the task you want them to do. They are hard workers though, and don't seem to slack off much at all.
<img src="https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/mixcollage-07-dec-2024-07-06-pm-2683.jpg"; style="max-width:400px;float:left;padding:10px 10px 10px 0px;border:0px;" alt="Palworld\u0026#39;s 0.5.0 Update Establishes a Must-Have Feature for 0.6.0" />
