Of course, the most straightforward solution to this trial is to answer truthfully. To do this, players must have one character in their party never steal, kill, harvest source, or help Voidwoken NPCs in the entire playthrough. That is easier said than done. Since any environmental effect or minion kills count as the player's own, characters will need to be a pacifist for the first three Acts to receive Lucian's blessing. Thankfully, there is an easy albeit cheesy way of beating the trial.

Head to the Lady Vengeance and speak to Sergeant Zrilla. She will allow players to obtain a hireling for a small Gold fee, so long as the party has a slot open. Purchase a hireling and create any character . Once complete, head back to the statue and have the newly-recruited companion answer the questions. Since the hireling has no record to speak of, they will answer every question truthfully and, therefore, complete the trial.

Perceptive characters might have noticed an interactive object to the left of the room. Interacting with the object will reveal a socket that an amulet could fit right into . To bypass the trial altogether, the party will need to obtain a special amulet and scroll to progress. For the amulet to work, players will also need a unique scroll named the Scroll of Atonement. In the same building as the Toyseller, head to the room on the right and climb up a flight of stairs. On the second floor, look for a locked desk beside a painting of Alexander. Use the password "Giyora" to unlock the desk and take the scroll.

2 The Crypt Of Lucian Puzzle

With both the Source Amulet and Scroll of Atonement, head to the interactive button in the Path of Blood and activate it. A hatch should reveal itself, allowing players to enter the Crypt of Lucian. Inside is yet another obscure puzzle , only this time it won't require a scavenger hunt.

It's a matching puzzle that requires players to match the element of the top section with the bottom one using pipes to route the energy. Starting the puzzle requires players to create blood atop a grate behind the puzzle table. Damaging a companion or casting Blood Rain should do the trick. From there, cycle the rotation of the pipe pieces to get the elemental source types to match.

Before venturing further, make a game save and complete any side quests that are left unfinished. After the crypt puzzle is an arena that leads to the final boss of Divinity: Original Sin 2 .
