Fortnite 's Chapter 3 spared no expense when it came to new mechanics. From sliding to swinging like Spider-Man, the SLG Game Strategy feels fresh. Starting with sliding, mobility feels so much better than it had previously, with scaling down cliffs being much easier and faster to do. There are also some new trees scattered around Fortnite 's island that can be broken down by the player and rather than poofing out of thin air when destroyed, realistically fall over as logs that can be moved and even deal some damage. Epic also added a new camping mechanic, which allows the player to use and lay down tents that they can rest in to restore HP or store items. This is a great way to have extra storage in-game, though it costs gold bars to store and take out items from the t
With Fortnite feeling as new as ever , Chapter 3's island manages to feel brand new despite having a good amount of areas and assets from Chapters 1 and 2. The map features four biomes, each with their own unique areas and NPC's to discover. The desert biome feels a lot like the original desert area from Chapter 1, but rockier and canyon-like. Two brand new locations, Chonker's Speedway and Condo Canyon, are some areas the player can land at this biome. The snowy tundra biome takes more than half of the map and has a tease that is exciting to many Fortnite veterans. Iconic landing spot, Tilted Towers, seems to freeze under the snow and will most likely thaw out as the season goes by. Chapter 1 locations Greasy Grove and Shifty Shafts have made a return this season as well. The rest of the landing spots are brand new locations such as Sleepy Sound and Camp Cuddle. These new locations are a sure way to bring in tons of new and returning players to the g
Fortnite fans will remember the original Reaper skin that everyone claimed looked like the character John Wick with his beard and suit. However, when this John Wick skin came around, players were given the real representation of the character played by Keanu Reeves, available for purchase in the s
On top of the usual grassy forest biome, Chapter 3's island contains an archipelago that seems to be the living space of the Seven. Featuring a gigantic statue of the Rock's Foundation, this archipelago has a series of islands littered with vaults and bunkers the player can open with a friend. These vaults contain some great loot, as well as a porta potty teleporter, first featured in Chapter 2. Fortnite also features Spider-Man's Daily Bugle as a brand new location that has been added to the map, with the landing spot being the only crossover location for
One of the biggest reveals of Chapter 2 Season 8's live event was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson being shown as the voice actor for the Foundation, a prominent character in Chapter 1 and 2's cinematics. The Foundation is a special skin that can be unlocked separately from the battle pass. There is no way to unlock the titular character, with his release date being February 3, 2022. There seems to be both a helmet and no helmet style for the skin, as w
The Nevermore set, Raven and Ravage, are more skins that entered early into the launch of Fortnite . They are often available in the shop, either combined into the full set or bought separately with their back blings and trails. The Iron Beak pickaxe and Feathered Flyer glider can be bought separately to ma
Fortnite Chapter 2 ended with the Cube Queen opening up an Avengers -like portal to space which brought about UFOs from previous seasons. As the Cube Queen unleashed chaos with aliens, Sideways monsters, and cubes, the players, also known as "loopers" in the cinematics, were saved by Jonesy and the Foundation, who was revealed to be played by actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson . At the end of the cinematic, the bunker the players have to hunker down in is flooded, causing everyone to rush out into the open ocean and witness a cinematically beautiful shot of the island being flipped upside down. As the player is stranded at sea, the portal to space closes, leaving a couple of UFOs behind, and the Cube Queen is defeated, revealing the new map as the other side of the isl
Another new mechanic that has not technically been released yet is web-swinging. With Spider-Man crossing over onto Fortnite this season, Epic has added new web-shooters into the game. This item can only be used in Arena mode for now, and will most likely be released in every SLG game patch notes mode by the time Spider-Man: No Way Home releases. Fortnite 's web-swinging has been widely praised by fans, even being compared to web-swinging in games like Marvel's Avenge

This might sound like a grand enhancement, but in reality, the Mammoth Pistol isn’t all that great to begin with. It’s a weapon with an absurdly high kick and reload speed, so firing and missing is going to see the player holding the gun as a vulnerable target against faster-firing weap
