As old and new favorites return from break, even more old and new shows will begin to premiere, and it will be up to you to decide what to and, more importantly, what not to wa
The phrase ‘development hell’ is one that is likely to send shivers down the spines of gamers everywhere. When games face severe delays during the development process with no finite end date in sight, it is often a death knell, resulting in the cancelation of some very ambitious proje
The second game brought back the same protagonist, Gordon Freeman, who awakens 20 years after the events of the first title, having to save Earth from what Black Mesa unleashed. It was seen as a definite improvement on the first, but the development process that created it wasn't exactly painless. Valve spent half a decade creating prototypes and outlines before scrapping and cutting content, resulting in a more delayed game than fans expec
PT sees players moving through an endlessly looping hallway as they attempt to solve its complex, vague puzzles and avoid the disturbing, ghost-like woman that occasionally attacks them. It's unfortunate that the full game will never be released, but PT is still a landmark horror release that has gone on to inspire countless copyc
Though this fantastic title eventually reached the hands of murder mystery and noir aficionados , it almost never did, as it faced numerous cancelations and delays across its seven-year development time. The game changed hands with publishers and platforms due to how long it was developed for, as the consoles it originally planned to release for became obsol

The now-defunct Telltale Games built its games around the idea of player choice having an impact on the narrative, but as many players discovered, those promises were mostly just click the up coming website smoke and mirrors. Until Dawn , on the other hand, incorporates player choice in a truly meaningful way, with players able to decide the fate of basically every playable character in the game. Playing like a big budget Telltale-style adventure game, Until Dawn is a fantastic homage to 80s slasher films with an engaging story full of surprises and scares, and it's one of the most essential horror games of the last few ye
March and April may not hold as many options as previous months, but there are still quite a few good picks available. Suits returns to USA; Whose Line Is It Anyway? proves what works, works (even on the CW); PBS finally premieres the BBC mini-series Mr. Selfridge starring Jeremy Piven; Orphan Black returns to BBC America; and Game of Thrones season 4 premieres… at some po
Your goal is to fix five generators in the level that will power the door leading to safety and get out. The levels are procedurally generated each time, though, so you’re never going to be able to memorize the layout and map the most efficient routes; you’re going to need to balance exploration with stealth in order to find the generators without getting spotted and winding up on one of the killer’s meat hooks. Every time you run, you leave a trail through the woods the killer will see and follow straight to you, so when you’re looking around, tread lightly. Fixing a generator doesn’t require much more than time and a bit of timing as a prompt similar to the Gears of War active reload pops up occasionally to make sure you’re still paying attention. Missing that prompt is a surefire way to get the killer on your tail as it causes the generator to make a loud noise with a visual icon on the killer’s display.
Though it is a sequel by name, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is not a sequel by nature, taking place in a different city and allowing players to don the fangs of a different vampire. Set in Seattle, players take on the role of a freshly awoken elder vampire, able to choose from four of the vampire clans from the pen-and-paper RPG , with more likely released as DLC following the game's rele
The first Outlast successfully translated the found footage horror genre to video game form, and Outlast 2 delivers a similar, yet arguably even scarier, experience. Outlast 2 changes the setting from a mental asylum to rural Arizona, where players are chased down by insane cult members. Its dark religious themes help to make Outlast 2 especially unnerving, and while the first half is a bit slow, the second half is a dizzying rollercoaster of shocking scenes and moments that will be drilled into the minds of anyone brave enough to play through
