Role-playing is at the core of Honkai: Star Rail , which means that the game has many different types of quests that can take hours to finish. Trailblaze Missions make up the main story, and you can only unlock the side missions after you finish the main story in a certain area.

An Eye For An Eye is a special Adventure Quest where you try to help the Silvermane Guards with a new type of system. You'll have to do three different missions in this quest, and each one will be a little harder than the last.

How To Unlock An Eye For An Eye

After finishing the main story in the Herta Space Station, you'll be taken to Jarilo-VI via the Astral Express . On this planet, you'll learn what the surface and underground Belobog people are going through. Eventually, you'll go to the northern snow plains to have your final fight before you solve the Stellaron crisis here .

You have to finish the story until the crisis is solved if you want to get this quest. In the end, you'll talk to Bronya and finish the Jarilo-VI main story . You'll then be messaged by Oleg who'll ask for your help with a certain new system that can make it easier to defeat the Fragmentum monsters.

First Part Walkthrough

After talking to Liaison Officer William in the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone area, you'll be taken to a screen where you'll see three difficulties on the left and the tasks for the current difficulty on the right . It's highly recommended to have at least one Fire character in your team during these parts.

The objectives for this part of the quest are:

Finish the battle within eight turns. These turns are cumulative, which means that you need to defeat all the enemies within eight turns .

Don't have more than two of your allies get knocked down. If your allies are revived after getting knocked down, it'll still count if they get knocked again .

Defeat seven enemies with the Snowshine Lamp's effect on them, which is the main mechanic of this quest .

Enter the quest area and pick up the orange orb on the ground after talking to Oleg. Put this orb inside the lamp beside it to progress forward . Defeat the Fragmentum Guard outside the gateway first, and then aggro the other two guards into the lamp's radius before fighting them . Defeat these three guards and open the gate to progress.

In the next area, you'll find the orb in a small alley to the left, and the required lamp will be in the middle . Try not to get detected by the two guards while you're trying to get the lamp activated, and you can defeat them afterward. You'll find another guard standing above a slope on the left side of this area.

The last enemy can be found on the stairs leading down to the right side. Once you defeat this group, the first part of the quest will be done .

Second Part Walkthrough

The second part will ramp up in difficulty as you'll have to defeat up to nine groups of enemies , but you also get 13 turns to do it. Talk to Oleg and go past the passage that was blocked by guards before you talked to him . The first orb will be on the stairs leading down to the right side, and the lamp will be down the stairs on the left.

Defeat the guard nearby and aggro the two Imaginary Weavers (golden enemies) into the lamp's radius before fighting them . You'll then be able to get to the circular bridge that can be rotated. Place the orb inside the lamp on the bridge and then use the mechanism nearby to rotate it counter-clockwise once.

Head to the area on your right and defeat the three waves of enemies. Once they're defeated, you have to turn the bridge counter-clockwise once more and head to the area on your right once again. You'll have to bait two guards into the radius for this part and then defeat the two waves.

After that, you have to rotate the bridge counter-clockwise once more and defeat the final enemy on the only path left . This is a mini-boss that'll be quite hard to defeat, and you need your best team with Fire-type teammates to defeat it in the number of turns required.

Third Part Walkthrough

The final part increases your enemies up to ten and you get 20 turns, but it's quite hard to finish this battle in these turns because you have multiple mini-bosses . This time, your first orb will be on the slope leading upward to your left as you enter the main area. Fix the orb into the lamp and defeat the nearby enemies.

You'll see three more enemies down the stairs on the right side, but you can't aggro them into this lamp's radius . To apply the effect on these enemies, head back to the middle area and take the middle slope to reach the circular bridge again. Fix the orb into the lamp and rotate it clockwise once.

Use the device near where you defeated the enemies to rotate the bridge counter-clockwise thrice. This will let you go to the right side. Once you reach the area, use the device again to rotate the bridge in any direction twice and bring back the lamp near you . Defeat these enemies once they're in the lamp's radius. After they're defeated, rotate the bridge counter-clockwise once more and go through the path that the guards were standing on . Move a few boxes and you'll see the final boss of the third part. The quest will finish after you defeat them.
