The Outlast contract gives a fresh twist to the Holdout mission from Outbreak - players will navigate to an Aether infested part of Urzikstan and use the PND device to build up a sonic blast that destroys all the crystals in the area . Similar to the Raid Weapon Stash contract, players will have to remain in near proximity to the device in order for it to charge up . Players do not need to worry about protecting the device, but will face a huge onslaught of undead enemies in this time, so be prepared. Be cautious of using heights to avoid zombies as, similar to Cold War, zombies will throw chunks of flesh at players when not able to reach them by h
First-person shooters are home to some of the most iconic, beloved levels in video game history. These range from instantly-recognizable locations like ‘Hangar’ from DOOM , the densely-populated multiplayer map 2Fort from Team Fortress 2 , and the fan-favorite ‘Rust’, which made a name for itself in the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Ironically enough, it has been described as a nightmare to play by fans. There are long falls into damage-inducing slime, mandatory tightrope walking sections to progress, copious amounts of platforming, and punishing enemy placements that sour the experience. There’s even a section at the end of the level where slipping into the toxic waste will leave the player unable to escape, and they'll eventually die. Considering its bloated size, it’s also a terrible choice for deathmatches, and it's no wonder it was never ported to the PlayStation versi
Once the first extractor is down, head for the second marked location and begin dispatching the mercenaries. It is important to remain calm and focused - despite the time limit for this contract, panicking and rushing is a sure way to get caught off guard by a mercenary and get downed. There is typically more resistance on the first two extractors , so do not worry if it takes more than a minute to clear the first, and if the timer is under one minute when heading to the third extractor. Remain focused and clear the area of mercenaries. As long as players start the disable process before the timer hits zero, they will be able to delay the launch and complete the contr
Players will also find that when aiming down sights, the auto-aim will line up the sight of a weapon with a target's head rather than center mass. Players will need to have the aim assist settings enabled to take advantage of this eff
Escort is a contract that players may recognize from Cold War's Outbreak mode - players will have to escort an ACV vehicle to three separate aether rifts in order to close the rifts. In order for the vehicle to move forward, players will need to stay within a certain distance from the vehicle , then hold the area and defend the vehicle when the vehicle is closing a rift. At each rift, a large horde of zombies will spawn, and players will have to deal with various hellhounds and possible mini-bosses like manglers or disciples, while escorting the ACV. Players can ride on the ACV, providing an easy way to stay with the vehicle while in transit. Once all three rifts are closed, the contract will be completed and players will receive a Reward R
Critics and Duke fans both hated this scene, as not only was it uncomfortable and tasteless, but also out-of-character. Duke Nukem co-creator Scott Miller has gone on record to say that developers don’t get the character’s personality right as "Duke is not an a**hole," and that he doesn’t deliberately attempt to be funny. His personality is supposed to be both charming and badass . Even Randy Pitchford of Gearbox Software, who swept up the rights to the game and IP, claimed that he wasn’t comfortable with the scene but did not outright tell the developers to remove
Any offensive armaments like the Mortar Strike can be excellent at quickly removing the Terminus forces around an extractor, just be careful not to get caught in the effect area. Throwable tactical and lethal equipment are also effective in this regard - when choosing between Epic tactical gear options, the Cymbal Monkeys or the Kazimir Device , the latter will pull the mercenaries into the blackhole effect , similar to zombies, making it more effective when dispatching a large group of Terminus goons . While the Cymbal Monkey does have an effective blast radius, the Mercenaries do not fall prey to the upbeat tune and will not gather around the explosion the way zombies would. Claymores and proximity mines can be useful at deterring recon assailants , but be cautious of proximity mine placement not to accidentally catch yourself in the blast if triggered by a mercenary. Thermite is also highly effective against groups and heavily armored troops like the shocktroop
If players have enough acquisitions or schematics at their disposal in the pre-game lobby, elect to take a brain rot or shatter blast ammo mod into the deployment zone. Shatter blast is useful when dealing with shocktroopers and armored grunts , with the blast radius capable of breaking the armor of multiple mercenaries at a time if they are in proximity. Brain rot is incredibly useful when dealing with mercenaries, Stroyrem-Master.Ru; as turning a zombie to aid in the fight against the Terminus forces can be the damage or distraction players need to easily eliminate all enemies . While there is no way for players to order a zombie to attack the mercenaries explicitly, when fighting the mercenaries defending the extractors, if a straggling zombie wanders over to attack players, if that zombie is turned he will charge the Terminus defense, giving players an opportunity to charge and flank the enemies and gain access to the extrac
