Escort is a contract that players may recognize from Cold War's Outbreak mode - players will have to escort an ACV vehicle to three separate aether rifts in order to close the rifts. In order for the vehicle to move forward, players will need to stay within a certain distance from the vehicle , then hold the area and defend the vehicle when the vehicle is closing a rift. At each rift, a large horde of zombies will spawn, and players will have to deal with various hellhounds and company website possible mini-bosses like manglers or disciples, while escorting the ACV. Players can ride on the ACV, providing an easy way to stay with the vehicle while in transit. Once all three rifts are closed, the contract will be completed and players will receive a Reward R
A reimagining of a classic mission from Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War's Outbreak mode, the Aether Extractors contract in Modern Warfare Zombies will have players fight through Terminus Mercenary forces to stop the extraction of three packages of Aether. As players approach the contract area, reinforcement helicopters will deliver troops to the area to mount a massive defense in protection of the three Aether Extractors. Players will have to fight through a variety of different types of mercenaries, ranging from r econ troops that will sprint at players with a knife and can almost instantly down players if not armored up, to shocktroopers that are heavily armored and wielding deadly machine guns . Players will have three minutes to clear the area around each of the three extractors to gain access to the on-board computer to hack and disable the extraction process - all while evading the ho
Modern Warfare 3 's new partitioned plating process allows for other partial actions in between loading a second or third plate (such as finishing or starting a reload or taking off a gas mask), meaning players can rapidly reload and replate simultaneously after grabbing a can of Speed Cola. Especially for LMGs, launchers, or any weapon with a heavily extended magazine, speed cola is a must to offset reload times that could be fa
Players will also be able to revive fallen operators at an increased speed, including the speed of reviving completely dead players. If squads are moving into Tier III, Quick Revive is a must to be able to successfully revive allies with the pursuing ho
Ironically enough, it has been described as a nightmare to play by fans. There are long falls into damage-inducing slime, mandatory tightrope walking sections to progress, copious amounts of platforming, and punishing enemy placements that sour the experience. There’s even a section at the end of the level where slipping into the toxic waste will leave the player unable to escape, and they'll eventually die. Considering its bloated size, it’s also a terrible choice for deathmatches, and it's no wonder it was never ported to the PlayStation versi
After grabbing the Aether Extractors contract phone and downloading the intel, players should take a moment to drop any pursuing zombies or hounds before moving to the contract area. Players will have t hree minutes to fight through the three squads of mercenaries and disable the extractors before the onboard rockets launch and extract all the collected aether - so, while moving quickly is a priority, it is crucial to remove any threats that can sneak up on players when fighting the mercenaries. Move with a sense of urgency but be deliberate in clearing corners and ensuring all mercenaries are dealt with before attempting to disable an extractor. Use audio clues to help identify nearby soldiers and pinpoint their locat
A pretty straightforward contract, players can run into difficulty quickly if they lose focus on the point of the contract - delivery . Stopping the LTV for even a moment or one wrong turn while in transit and getting stuck or having to turn around can give the helicopter enough time to destroy the tires on the LTV, making it difficult to turn and accelerate. While players can hop out and quickly repair the tire , any halt in movement on the LTV gives the Terminus forces the opportunity to inflict serious damage , so needing to stop for repairs should be avoided at all c
Sandy Peterson’s maps for DOOM were notably different from those created by the other developers of id Software. Peterson liked more abstract designs for maps, and was more experimental. As such, fans remain divided to this day about his creations. One such level, ‘The Chasm’ from DOOM II: Hell On Earth , was said to have been inspired by a nightmare the developer had involving thin bridges and deep cha
Accessible only via cheats, the level features a pillar with faces on it. As it clips through the level's walls, the pillar eventually travels out of bounds before crashing the game (in the aforementioned source port, the player is thrust back to the main menu instead). Before this happens, a doodle of a flying block floating out of the level and into the void exclaiming "I’M FREE!" will be shown on-screen. This was drawn by the developers as they found the glitch to be very funny, and went so far as to scan the doodle and implement it into the SLG game news as a quirky gag before the title would close and send players back to
